What happens after
“copy this trader”?
A design study of the infrastructure required to turn a wallet’s new trade into a bounded follower action.
Observe the fill once.
A durable worker records a new leader event, source time and first-observed time. Reconnects and duplicate deliveries must not create duplicate orders. Activating a strategy starts from a baseline, not a replay of historical trades.
Apply a policy to the follower.
Sizing belongs to the user’s strategy. Fixed amounts and proportional quantities are different rules. Current depth, price movement, fees and remaining exposure constrain the candidate order.
Check authority at the last responsible moment.
A queued action still needs valid permissions when it reaches the signer. A tool being enabled does not establish an approved account, live mandate or spending limit.
Reconcile what actually happened.
An accepted request is not necessarily a filled or settled order. Timeouts need lookup before retry. Partial fills and copied position lots must be tracked so a later sell does not touch unrelated holdings.
