Economic accounting and reward allocation
Keep service revenue, native trading, reward eligibility and SCC obligations reconcilable.
Two economic units
$SEER is the ecosystem participation and staking token. SCC is the common platform credit for intelligence and eligible tokenized-stock purchases. Subscription plans and spending allowances are entitlement arrangements, not a third currency.
SCC funds intelligence and eligible tokenized-stock purchases through one credit balance. USD remains a settlement or valuation currency, not another Seer platform token.
Accounting domains
| Domain | Records | Excluded inference |
|---|---|---|
| Services | Entitlements, rates, billable usage and completed charges. | Customer payments are not native-trading profit. |
| Native trading | Seer-owned capital, positions, fills, fees and realized results. | A capital transfer is not a gain. |
| Treasury | Reserves, obligations, policy revisions and approved allocations. | Mark-to-market appreciation is not automatically distributable. |
| Rewards | Eligible period, approved pool and participant allocation. | Accounting cadence is not a promised yield. |
| SCC | Issuance, commitments, consumption, redemption and adjustments. | Issuance is not completed external payment. |
Pool calculation
The 10% factor applies to eligible realized net trading profit under the treasury policy. It does not apply to gross volume, treasury principal, subscription revenue or an individual stake. Each period pins the policy revision governing loss carryforward, costs, reserves and obligations. R denotes reconciled results, L losses, C costs, B reserves and O outstanding obligations for the period.
Participant allocation
Participant weights come from the period’s frozen eligibility snapshot and allocation policy. If their sum is zero, the period records an unallocated pool without issuing participant rewards. Rounding residuals remain attributable, and total issued value cannot exceed the approved funded allocation.
Journal integrity
Journal postings balance within a denomination and link explicitly across conversions. One USD and one SCC do not cancel in a single-unit ledger simply because their program value is one-to-one. A conversion records both legs, its basis and settlement reference.
Corrections append postings or reversals with source event, actor and reason. Reward issuance is unique to its approved allocation reference. Treasury principal, customer investments and outstanding SCC obligations remain independently reconcilable.
Worked allocation
For $100,000 of eligible profit, the reward pool is $10,000 of program value. A participant with 2% of the policy-defined eligible weight receives 200 SCC before policy-specific rounding. This example illustrates allocation from profit, not a fixed return on the participant’s staked capital.
A balanced issuance example
Example: a funded allocation issues 200 SCC. The subledger records two signed postings in SCC; the linked treasury funding record retains its own USD entries and reference.
| SCC subledger account | Signed atoms at scale 2 | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Program issuance control | −20,000 | Counter-entry for the approved allocation. |
| Participant available balance | +20,000 | 200 SCC becomes available. |
| Total | 0 | The issuance journal balances within SCC. |
Conservation within a journal denomination
J_u is the set of postings for a journal transaction in denomination u. Cross-currency conversions have separate balanced legs linked by a conversion record. The invariant establishes internal conservation of postings; reconciliation establishes agreement with external funding and movements.
