Platform architecture
How agents, inference, evidence and financial services work together.
The agent and service layers
Seer separates the agent that coordinates a task from the services it uses. A Seer-created agent runs within the workspace with its selected model and private inference settings. An external agent reaches the service layer through an integration connection. Both can retrieve evidence, perform calculations, use Aura and work with authorized account context.
A task does not have to pass through every service. A news query, an Aura forecast and a portfolio stress test are useful on their own. More involved workflows connect their outputs through shared instruments, timestamps and research records.
Why the infrastructure matters
A model can explain a market event without knowing whether a price is current, an account has committed funds or an earlier order filled. Those questions require reliable financial systems.
Seer’s network connects reusable services through common records. A company, instrument, forecast and action retain their identity as a task moves between services. Adding an agent should not mean rebuilding every data connection and account control.
Platform map
| Stage | Responsibility | Example result |
|---|---|---|
| Evidence | Find, identify and timestamp information. | A source-backed earnings brief. |
| Analysis and Aura | Calculate measurements and estimate defined outcomes. | A volatility calculation or a forecast distribution. |
| Portfolio | Compare possible decisions with the account and its limits. | A proposed allocation with estimated costs. |
| Authority | Check the action against current permissions. | An approval request or a policy decision. |
| Execution | Track what the connected venue accepted and filled. | An order with individual fills and fees. |
| Settlement and reconciliation | Confirm movements and compare account records. | A resulting position and its available balance. |
One example from start to finish
Imagine asking, “Does this earnings announcement change my exposure to this company?” The agent retrieves the announcement, compares reported figures and checks market history. Numerical tools measure the reaction; a forecast can contribute a view of possible outcomes.
Portfolio analysis then evaluates the idea against your holdings. If an adjustment is appropriate, it becomes a proposal. Only an authorized action proceeds to execution. The financial record continues through fills, costs and settlement, so the next decision uses the resulting account state.
A task can stop at any stage
You may only want a sourced answer, a calculation or a proposed allocation. Research does not require trading authority. A no-trade decision can be the useful result when evidence is incomplete, costs are too high or your portfolio already has enough exposure.
