Seer Treasury

Trading capital, realized results, reserves and reward allocations.

What the treasury manages

The Seer Treasury accounts for capital used by the native trading operation, realized results and approved allocations. Its responsibilities include maintaining trading capacity, risk reserves, operating resources and the funds assigned to Stake-to-Stock.

Capital committed to a strategy remains distinguishable from a realized profit. Returning capital from a venue does not make that transfer a gain.

The basis for rewards

The allocation is 10% of eligible realized net trading profits. Eligibility follows the treasury policy, including the treatment of costs, losses, reserves and other applicable obligations. An unrealized gain or a single profitable trade is not enough to establish a distributable amount.

The policy determines which accounting period a result belongs to and how prior losses and adjustments affect that period. Rewards can be lower or zero when there is no eligible profit.

Keep the amounts distinct

AmountMeaning
Trading capitalSeer funds committed or available to strategies.
Realized resultsGains and losses from completed trading activity, with the applicable costs.
Reserves and obligationsAmounts retained or committed under treasury policy.
Eligible profitThe amount that qualifies for reward allocation after that policy is applied.
Reward poolThe approved allocation for eligible stakers.
Outstanding SCCCredits issued and not yet consumed or redeemed.

A worked allocation example

Suppose an accounting period has $100,000 of eligible realized net trading profit after the relevant policy has been applied. A 10% allocation would produce a $10,000 reward pool. Participants’ rewards would then depend on the program’s eligibility and stake-weighting rules.

This is an arithmetic example, not a forecast, an APY or a statement of treasury performance. It also does not mean that 10% of the entire treasury balance is distributed.

Credits and settlement

Issuing SCC creates a credit balance. Redeeming those credits and settling the resulting payment or purchase are separate events. Treasury records distinguish outstanding balances, committed funds and completed settlements so the same amount is not treated as available twice.
