Getting started
A short example of how an agent uses Seer’s financial capabilities.
Choose how to begin
Create an agent in Seer with a model, instructions and tools, or connect an existing agent through the API or MCP. The same financial services support both paths. Aura and quantitative tools can contribute to the task alongside the agent’s selected language model.
Give the agent a clear job
Try: “What changed in Apple’s latest earnings? Compare the announcement with the previous quarter, explain the market reaction and show what could weaken the conclusion.”
For this task, enable company disclosures, news, market history and numerical analysis. Set a service spending limit. You do not need a trading account, wallet or financial permission to ask the question.
Read the result
| Part of the answer | What you can inspect |
|---|---|
| What changed | Reported figures, their units and the period being compared. |
| Why it matters | The agent’s interpretation, with links to supporting and conflicting evidence. |
| Market context | Price changes and calculations with their dates and methods. |
| What is missing | Unavailable sources, stale prices or unresolved questions. |
| Next step | Save the research, monitor a change, test an idea or request a portfolio comparison. |
Add account context when you need it
Connect a supported account with read access to compare the idea with your holdings, cash and pending activity. A research connection can inspect your portfolio without being allowed to trade. A purchase or rebalance uses a separate proposal and approval.
Know what you are paying for
Your plan determines service access. A task budget limits metered work, and eligible SCC pays for supported services under their rates. Investment capital is separate. Before ongoing work starts, its configuration shows the scope, cadence and spending limit.
