Financial tools
Data and quantitative capabilities that turn general-purpose agents into financial agents.
The financial toolkit
Seer’s toolkit gives agents access to financial evidence and defined calculations. It covers market research, quantitative analysis, strategy evaluation, portfolio risk and the practical costs of execution. The same capabilities are available to agents created in Seer and authorized external agents.
Tools can be used individually or composed into a workflow. A company investigation combines disclosures, news and prices. A quantitative workflow adds historical features, strategy tests and risk analysis. Each tool identifies its source coverage, available history and supported operations.
News and events
Compare reports, official announcements and corrections. Follow the original source and distinguish a repeated story from independent confirmation. Each result identifies whether it contains a headline, summary, excerpt or full text.
Market and economic data
Examine price history, returns and scheduled economic releases. Read the currency, observation period and update time beside each value. A historical close is different from a current quote, and a revised economic series may differ from what was known at the time.
Company information
Connect a company to its filings, reported financial measures and announcements. Compare the same units and reporting periods. An amended filing is a revision, not another independent contribution to revenue or earnings.
Quantitative tools
Quantitative tools calculate returns, momentum, volatility, drawdown and portfolio concentration. Research services extend this into feature construction, reproducible strategy tests and comparisons with defined baselines. Risk services evaluate shared exposures and stressed outcomes.
Results include their methods, inputs and observation periods. This gives an agent numerical evidence it can use in a financial explanation or a quantitative workflow. Aura adds forecasts of future outcomes as a separate service.
On-chain and tokenized instruments
Identify the chain, contract, underlying exposure and actual trading market. Inspect price and liquidity for the relevant size. A share, a stock token and a derivative can reference the same company while having different rights, prices and settlement rules.
Prediction markets
Read the market question, outcome definitions and resolution rules before comparing prices. Market prices, model probabilities and the price available for your own order are different quantities. Monitoring tracks selected markets over time. Copy strategies use their own budgets, price limits and execution permissions.
What a useful answer includes
Expect source references, dates, the calculation method where relevant and material gaps. Missing data and disagreements between sources appear alongside the result. These details let you decide whether a result is strong enough to support the next step.
Liquidity, risk and research testing
Use liquidity tools to inspect the cost of your requested trade size. Portfolio risk tools show common exposures and scenario losses. Research evaluation tests a frozen strategy against historical evidence and explicit costs. The connection’s capability catalog identifies supported instruments, data depth and methods.
