Research and strategy testing

Evidence, quantitative evaluation and ongoing assessment of financial ideas.

Research briefs

A brief names the instrument, question, time horizon and evidence that could change the answer. Seer connects original announcements, company facts, economic releases, market data and public conversation. Your agent separates reported facts from calculations and interpretation, and keeps contrary evidence in view.

From a question to a decision

A research question leads to evidence, analysis, evaluation and a decision. Monitoring brings new evidence back into the process.
Seer connects research to measurable analysis and a reviewable next step. A useful result can be saved research, a monitoring task or an authorized proposal. View full size ↗

Research workflows

Ask your agentWhat Seer brings together
What changed after these earnings?Reported figures, earlier expectations where covered, filing changes and the market response.
Is this move company-specific?Price history, market and sector comparisons, unusual volume and related events.
Would this improve my portfolio?Existing holdings, shared exposures, cash requirements and stressed outcomes.
Does this idea survive trading costs?A historical test, executable-size liquidity, fees and alternative timing assumptions.
What should I keep watching?A saved hypothesis, invalidation conditions and a bounded monitoring task.

Strategy evaluation

Historical tests reconstruct the information available at each decision, include unsuccessful attempts and apply explicit fill and cost assumptions. Compare the idea with a simple alternative, then inspect how results change across periods and assumptions.

Prospective shadow evaluation records decisions before their outcomes arrive. Paper trading adds simulated orders and balances. The modes have separate histories, so a convincing historical chart is never confused with an observed live result.

Liquidity and execution costs

Liquidity analysis estimates how the requested amount interacts with available prices and size. Cost reports separate fees, spread, estimated impact and delay. A quoted stock price is not a promise that your whole order can fill there. The agent can compare a smaller trade, staged execution or leaving the portfolio unchanged.

Risk and stress testing

Stress tests ask what happens if prices fall together, a currency moves, liquidity deteriorates or a token departs from its underlying value. Risk analysis also identifies exposures shared by holdings that look different by name. Each scenario shows its assumptions and portfolio effect.

Thesis monitoring

Monitoring follows the evidence and limits you selected. It distinguishes a meaningful new event from a repeated headline, and stale data from a quiet market. A change can produce an alert, refreshed research or a proposal under your configured permissions.
