Execution with defined authority
Move from a proposal to an action under the account’s actual permissions.
Choose the operating mode
Choose research, paper trading, approval-based execution or delegated execution within a defined mandate. Each mode records its own results. Paper orders use simulated fills; live orders follow the connected venue’s execution and settlement state.
| Mode | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Research | Return evidence and analysis without placing an order. |
| Paper evaluation | Test a strategy under explicit simulated fill and cost assumptions. |
| Review each action | Present an exact, expiring proposal for approval. |
| Bounded delegation | Permit supported actions within a defined account, instrument universe, duration and limits. |
Review the actual action
A proposal identifies the account, instrument, direction, quantity or spending amount, price conditions and costs. Approval applies to that action. A material change requires a new check; a sentence in a chat or article cannot grant account authority.
Follow the order
After submission, an order may remain open, fill partially, fill completely or be rejected. A cancellation request may affect only the unfilled portion. The activity record shows what happened and what remains uncertain.
An interrupted connection is not a new order
If a response is lost, the venue may still have accepted the request. The next step is to recover its status and reconcile the record. Repeating the request as a new action can buy or sell twice.
Execution ends with a financial record that settlement and portfolio services can inspect, rather than a generic success message.
